What a contractor invoice should have
- Your business name and how to reach you, so the client knows who to pay.
- An invoice number and date, so you can both find it later.
- The job, in the words the client knows it by.
- Line items with quantity and price, so nobody has to ask what the total is made of.
- A due date and how to pay. The easier it is to pay, the sooner you get paid.
Not sure what to charge? Work it out first with the job cost calculator. More on getting paid faster is on the blog.
In MagicBuild, clients pay invoices online by card or bank, and payments sync to QuickBooks.
Invoices that get paid online
Magic builds the estimate from a photo and a description at your own prices. The client signs on their phone and pays the deposit. Crew check in from their phone, receipts land on the job and invoices get paid online. $69 a month, 14 days free, and crew and clients never cost a seat.
